Current Research Assistants

Yvonne Laporte Spring 2019 – Present
Yvonne is a junior at the University of Connecticut, graduating in May 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology. She joined the lab in Spring 2019 with an interest in gaining research experience and a better understanding of how anxiety functions in young adults. She plans to attend graduate school to obtain her Psy.D in clinical psychology with a neuropsychology concentration, and eventually practice and work to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
Colleen Coogan Fall 2019 – Present
Colleen is a Sophomore at the University of Connecticut, graduating in May of 2022, and will be earning a B.A. in Psychology. She joined the lab in the Fall of 2019 to learn more about anxiety and gain skills in research that will help in her future goals. Her goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in Psychology and pursue research in women’s mental health while teaching at a university or public institution.
Jennifer Yi Fall 2019- Present
Jennifer is a Junior at the University of Connecticut, earning a B.A. in Psychology. She joined the lab Fall of 2019 to increase knowledge in research and gain skills that’ll help in her future endeavors. After graduating, she plans to get a Master’s degree and help spread awareness on sexual harassment and mental health in the workplace.
Olivia Adams Fall 2019- Present
Olivia is a junior at the University of Connecticut, graduating in May of 2021, and will be earning a B.A. in Psychology. She joined the lab in Fall 2019 to learn more about adolescent anxiety and gain research skills. Her goal is to obtain a Psy.D. in Adolescent Clinical Psychology and work as a Clinical Psychologist in a children’s hospital.
Chelsea Fall 2019 – Present
Chelsea is a senior at the University of Connecticut and will be graduating with a B.S. in PNB in Spring 2020. She is interested in working with adults dealing with anxiety and depression. Specifically, Chelsea wants to be able to slowly lower the stigma of mental health illnesses in the Asian American community. To reach her goals, Chelsea hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Jeffrey Hunt Fall 2018 – Present
Jeffrey is a junior at the University of Connecticut working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He is interested in working with teens and adults with mood disorders, anxiety, depression as well as trauma victims. He joined the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Lab in the Fall of 2018 with an interest in gaining research experience and learning more about anxiety. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and open his own private practice.
